Leftangel.gif (4545 bytes)  Biography...  Rightangel.gif (4545 bytes)

My name is Angie Mullen, I was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho in 1974. I have two brothers..
Jeff, who is six years older than me, and Nick who is five years younger than me,

and my parents... Mike and Linda Kesselring.
As a child I lived in Custer, South Dakota, then we moved to Troy, Montana and finally to  Blue Earth, Minnesota  where I spent my late elementary years and all of my high school years. After graduating from Granada-Huntley-East Chain High School, I attended college in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. I then moved to the Minneapolis/St Paul area, where I now reside.

I started drawing and getting involved in music at a very young age. I took up music at age 10, and since have been involved in a number of different rock bands (playing around the midwestern states) and even touring Canada in my college years. My talents for both my art and music progressed through high school and college as the years went on, (being involved in a number of different festivals, fairs, and events for both occasions).

The media I use in my art is mainly pencil with some colored pencil and ink to add a touch of color. A lot of what I draw is symbolic and what is in my heart at the time, just like I can close my eyes and play my drums and not miss a beat. I just feel the music coming from my soul. All of my portfolio and everything I do is done freehand only, and both my art and learning the trap set have been self-taught without any formal training. This all through practice, patience, perseverance, and a desire to be the best I could be at whatever I was doing. A huge thanks of course goes to my family and friends for their encouragement and helping me to believe in myself. And especially my mom for putting up with all the loud banging and thumping coming from my upstairs bedroom from the first drum set I owned and played, hours on end,(which by the way echoed all through the house and even down the road) -I love you!

For the last 11 years, I've been working in the printing industry where I am able to use my skills
on a daily basis, and I continue to keep busy in my studio,
adding new drawings to my portfolio and playing my drums whenever given the opportunity.
